Plain English, because you should not need a solicitor to find out what we do with your mobile number. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and a person will answer.

Who we are

Daviana is a product of Evera Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 09649356, at 154A Arthur Road, London SW19 8AQ, United Kingdom.

Evera Ltd is the data controller for the information described on this page — meaning we decide what is collected and why, and we are the ones answerable for it. There is no separate privacy team: write to [email protected].

What we collect

Only what you hand us, plus the ordinary traces any website leaves.

What you type

When you ask for a trial, ask us to ring you, or fill in one of our forms on Instagram or Facebook:

Your name.
Your salon's name, and your website if you give us one.
Your email address.
Your mobile number.
Your answers to the few questions we ask — what kind of salon you run, how big your team is, how many locations, what you would fix first. Those exist so the right person rings you, and for no other reason.

What your browser tells us

Your IP address, and the pages you looked at.
Advert click identifiers — the tags Google and Meta add to a link when you click an advert (gclid, fbclid and their relatives). They tell us which advert you came from. They do not tell us your name.
Usage statistics through Google Analytics and the Meta pixel: which pages are read, how far down, what is clicked.

If you ring the demonstration line

The demonstration number on this site is answered by our AI receptionist. Those calls are recorded and transcribed, so that we can tell whether it answered well. You are told at the start of the call. If you would rather it were not kept, say so on the call or email us and we delete it.

Why we have it, and what allows us to

To ring you back and answer your question. You asked us to. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you gave us your number in order to be contacted about Daviana, and contacting you is the obvious, expected consequence.
To set up and run a trial for you. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one.
To measure our advertising. Knowing which advert produced which enquiry is how a small company avoids wasting money. Lawful basis: legitimate interests for the measurement itself, and consent for the cookies that do it — see Cookies below for exactly what is set and how to refuse it.
To send you marketing. Lawful basis: consent. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works on the first click. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a phone call.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information, and we never will. We do use a small number of suppliers to run the service, and they see the parts they need to do their job. Each is contractually a processor acting on our instructions.

Some of these suppliers are based outside the UK, chiefly in the United States. Where that is so, the transfer is covered by the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We would also disclose information if the law required it — a court order, or a properly made request from a regulator. That has not happened.

If we contacted you and you never gave us your details

Some of the salons we write to, ring or advertise to did not fill in a form here. We built a list of salons from public sources — business listings, map data and salons' own websites — because that is how a new company finds the trade it is built for. UK law lets us do that, and it also gives you rights over it. Here is the whole of it, plainly.

What we hold: your salon's name and address, its public phone number, its public email address, and its website. Nothing else. We do not buy lists and we do not scrape anyone's clients.
Where it came from: OpenStreetMap business listings, Google's business listings, and the salon's own website.
Why we may: legitimate interests — offering a salon product to a salon, using the contact details that salon publishes for business enquiries. We have weighed that against your privacy and written the assessment down; ask and we will send it to you.
Calls: every number is checked against the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate TPS before it is dialled, and our AI receptionist says who she is and who she is calling for in her first sentence. Two attempts at most, and "stop calling" means never again.
Adverts: we may give Meta or Google a hashed (scrambled, one-way) copy of a business email address or phone number so that our adverts are shown to salons rather than to the general public, or so that a salon that has already said no is excluded. They never receive the plain text, they may not use it for anything but matching against their own users, and they must delete it after matching.
Saying no: email [email protected] with "remove us" and we delete the record and add you to our suppression list, which exists so that you are never re-added by a later import. One email, and it is permanent. No reason needed, and every one of the rights below applies to this list too.

How long we keep it

24 months from the last time you spoke to us, and then we delete it. If you become a customer, we keep your records for as long as you are one and for six years afterwards, because HMRC requires it of the accounting records.

Ask us to delete it sooner and we will — see below.

What you can make us do

Under UK GDPR these are your rights, not favours. Email [email protected] and we answer within one month, free of charge.

See it. Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
Correct it. If we have written your salon's name wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Have it deleted. Ask, and it goes — including any call recording and any row in our database.
Object. Tell us to stop contacting you and we stop. You do not have to give a reason.
Take it with you. Ask for it in a machine-readable file.
Withdraw consent for marketing or for analytics cookies, at any time, without affecting anything that happened before.

If we handle a request badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator — ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first and gave us the chance to put it right.

Cookies

Being straight with you about the current state of this: this site does not yet show a cookie banner. Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel load when you arrive, and they set cookies. We are not going to pretend you were asked first. These are the ways to refuse, and every one of them works today:

Block them in your browser. Every browser can refuse third-party cookies for a site, and doing so costs you nothing here — none of them are needed for the site to work.
Google Analytics: the official opt-out add-on stops it across every site you visit.
Meta: your ad preferences control what Meta may do with what the pixel sees.
Or just ask us. Email [email protected] and we will exclude you from our analytics and advertising audiences by hand.

The one cookie we set ourselves holds an advert click identifier so that we can tell which advert brought you here. It carries no name, no email and no phone number.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information, we change this page and move the date at the top. We do not quietly widen what we do with data you gave us for something else.
