Timely and Daviana are both software with no marketplace, so neither takes a cut of a new client. The honest comparison is Timely's low starting price and marketing tools against colour costing, the phone answered by voice, and one shared record for the whole salon.
You are a small salon or a solo stylist who wants a low weekly price, unlimited team logins, and marketing, loyalty and consultation forms in the same plan.
Colour cost and the phone are your live problems, you want commission and pay handled without an add-on, and you would rather pay a flat monthly price that does not rise on your busiest weeks.

Timely's weekly price starts at £4, £7 or £9 and adjusts with the number of bookings you take, so the figure on the page is a floor. To compare like for like: enter your average weekly bookings on their pricing page, multiply the weekly figure by 52 and divide by 12 for a monthly number, add £8 a week if you want their team performance add-on, then set that against £80 a month for our Diary. As a guide, £4 a week works out at about £17 a month and £9 a week at about £39 a month, before booking volume is added. If colour or the phone is part of the decision, try our colour cost calculator or missed call calculator first; they show whether ColorLab or the AI Receptionist would pay for itself.
Timely's UK pricing page lists three plans starting from £4, £7 and £9 a week (Run, Boost and Thrive), with unlimited team members on every plan. The weekly bill adjusts with the number of bookings you take, so the starting figure is the floor rather than the price a busy salon pays. Advanced team management is an extra £8 a week, and card payments carry processing fees of 1.59% + 5p in the salon and 1.85% + 30p online. Enter your own average weekly bookings on their site to get your real figure.
No. Their pricing page says there are no contracts and that you cancel by giving 14 days' notice. Daviana has no minimum term either: we invoice monthly and you can stop any month.
Not as a voice product of its own, based on what Timely publishes. Its AI tool, Textie Bestie, helps you write SMS messages to clients. Third-party voice receptionists advertise integrations with Timely, which means a separate company and subscription. Daviana's AI Receptionist answers the call by voice and books into the same diary the front desk uses.
We found no colour-weighing or gram-costing feature in Timely's published pricing and feature table. It has client notes, consultation forms and before-and-after photos on its Boost and Thrive plans, which record a formula but do not cost it. Daviana's ColorLab weighs every bowl on a Bluetooth scale and costs it to the gram onto the client's bill.
Thirty minutes, your diary and your colour spend. We will tell you if it is not a fit — a salon that signs up for the wrong reasons leaves within a year.
